Sequoia Senior Solutions, Inc. the North Bay’s largest
In-Home Care Provider, today announced the introduction
of a new service aimed at assisting seniors in the
transition home from hospital stays or out-patient
surgery.
The new service, called “Welcome Home” provides
professionally trained caregivers to accompany the
senior home and provide up to a total of six hours of
assisted care. This may include picking up
prescriptions, providing a warm meal, light
housekeeping, and companionship during this delicate
time.
“People are often discharged from hospitals with the
recommendation that they also obtain assisted care,
either from family members or from professionals, for
the first few days that they are home” said Gabriella
Ambrosi, President and CEO of Sequoia Senior Solutions.
“Many time, however, they are reluctant to do so because
they feel uncomfortable committing to a long-term
relationship. Our Welcome Home program should relieve
this concern as the commitment is only for a fixed
six-hour period.”
Of course, should the senior then determine that more
assistance is needed, Sequoia Senior Solutions is able
to provide care for as long as is needed. The Welcome
Home Service is available for $160 for the initial six
hour assignment.
